Coldest Night of the Year 2025: A Huge Success in Erin!
On Saturday, February 22, 2025, the East Wellington community came together in an incredible show of support for East Wellington Community Services (EWCS) at this year’s Coldest Night of the Year. With the dedication of our walkers, volunteers, and sponsors, we surpassed our goal of $50,000—raising an incredible $70,693!
Despite the winter chill, the warmth of community spirit was felt throughout the evening. 100 walkers, 15 teams, and 40 volunteers took to the streets of Erin, walking in solidarity to support vital programs for those in need. The energy was high, the encouragement was endless, and every step taken was a step toward making a difference.
A special thank you to Ann Shanahan our lead sponsor and Solmar Development Group our supporting sponsor. Thank you to all of our amazing sponsors, whose generosity made this event possible, and to our dedicated volunteers, who ensured everything ran smoothly. We also want to give a huge shoutout to our team captains, donors, and supporters—your kindness and commitment to this cause truly made an impact.
A highlight of the night was the live broadcast from Erin Radio, which kept spirits high with great music and real-time encouragement for our walkers. Our rest stop sponsors- Teragram Farms and Pilates in Erin went above and beyond to keep everyone fueled and motivated, and our photographer, Hollow Hills Photography, captured some fantastic moments that we can’t wait to share!
CNOY is more than just a walk—it’s a movement of communities coming together to help those struggling with food insecurity, housing challenges, and social isolation. Thanks to your generosity, EWCS can continue providing essential programs and services to our neighbours in need.
📸 Stay tuned for more photos from the event! If you have any pictures, please tag us—we’d love to see them!
We are beyond grateful for your support and can’t wait to do it all again next year for CNOY 2026! Thank you for walking, donating, and showing up for our community.
